3MI Labs and Fireblocks Present Threshold Schnorr Work at NIST

A Fireblocks-3MI team previewed its planned distributed Schnorr and EdDSA submission at NIST's MPTS 2026 workshop.

3MI Labs appeared in the NIST Computer Security Resource Center program for MPTS 2026, the Workshop on Multi-Party Threshold Schemes.1

The presentation

The talk, “Fireblocks-3MI Plan for NIST Threshold Schnorr/EdDSA,” previewed a planned submission to the NIST Threshold Call. The team described an intended distributed Schnorr signing protocol based on the folklore three-round construction, extended to cover EdDSA.1

NIST lists the work as joint between Fireblocks and 3MI Labs, authored by Michael Adjedj, Tomer Ashur, Amit Singh Bhati, Geoffroy Couteau, Cyprien Delpech de Saint Guilhem, Michael Gutkin, and Nikos Makriyannis.1
