Laderas de los Andes has released five new lines: Sedimento, Retamo, Nessia, Sagrario, and Precipicio. Together they comprise twelve wines from a single vineyard in La Consulta, San Carlos, in Mendoza’s Uco Valley.1
The vineyard
The vines grow at 1,100 meters on alluvial soils deposited by the Tunuyán River. The vineyard is planted at 5,000 plants per hectare, drip irrigated, and harvested by hand. All wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts. The team is Bernardo Bossi Bonilla, winemaker; Gabriel Mauricio Allende, agronomist; and Pablo Enrique Perelló, director.12
