At gamescom latam BIG Festival in São Paulo on April 30, 2025, LCB Game Studio’s Grizzly Man won Best Game: Latin America.1 The award was judged by a 49-member panel at an event drawing over 131,000 visitors.2
Grizzly Man is the first entry in the Pixel Pulps Direct-To-Video collection and the first title self-published by LCB. It launched on Steam in December 2024.
Pixel Pulps
Pixel Pulps are short narrative games drawn from pulp fiction aesthetics: exploitation cinema, horror paperbacks, conspiracy thrillers. Each is a contained experience, playable in a few hours, with pixel art and branching narratives.
Grizzly Man combines slasher storytelling with MKUltra conspiracy. Previous titles—Mothmen 1966, Varney Lake, Bahnsen Knights—were published by external studios. With Grizzly Man, LCB handled publishing directly.
Self-publishing
Moving to self-publishing means the studio controls the full lifecycle: marketing, pricing, launch timing, community. The economics flow directly to the creators. The studio builds its own relationship with players rather than relying on a publisher’s audience.
Grizzly Man is the first of a new trilogy, the Direct-To-Video collection, which includes Dark Side Sewers and Possession Junkies.
