
On April 6, 2026, Ōtoro won the Sushi World Cup at the Salón Ocre of La Rural in Buenos Aires.12 The competition, organized by Hanami & Co and Jump Agencia, was the first edition of the event.
The competition
Twenty-seven teams from Argentina and across Latin America competed across multiple categories. Around ten thousand attendees passed through the venue. More than fifty thousand pieces of sushi were produced live during the day.3
The restaurant
Ōtoro is a fourteen-seat counter at José Hernández 2730 in Belgrano, run by chef Facundo Santander.
